Substantiation	In de fase 2b-3 studie zijn statistisch significante verbeteringen waargenomen ten opzichte van placebo. Een andere fase 3 studie loopt nog. Indien filgotinib effectief blijkt zal het waarschijnlijk gaan concurreren met tofacitinib en in de toekomst mogelijk upadacitib. Het bijwerkingenprofiel van de geneesmiddelen zal moeten uitwijzen welk geneesmiddel de voorkeur krijgt.
