Substantiation	Dit geneesmiddel zou in plaats van meropenem ingezet kunnen gaan worden. Ceftolozane / tazobactam is een antibioticum dat werkzaam is tegen ESBL en AMPc . Hiermee is het een carbapenem-sparend antibioticum. De verwachting is dat het in de praktijk niet veel ingezet zal worden, doordat er meer ervaring is met andere middelen.

Volgens het behandelschema voor volwassenen krijgt een patiënt 6 flacons per dag toegediend (€583,02) en duurt de kuur 8-14 dagen (€4.664,16-€8.162,28). Bij kinderen is de dosering afhankelijk van het lichaamsgewicht en zal dus lager uitvallen.
